Our commitment
Sedona Pickler wants everyone to be able to use this website. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
What we've done
- Semantic HTML with a "skip to content" link and one main landmark per page.
- Descriptive alt text on meaningful images.
- Keyboard navigation with visible focus, and a logical heading structure.
- Colour contrast chosen for readability, and support for the browser's "reduce motion" setting — animations and parallax are turned off when you ask your device to reduce motion.
- Background video is muted and decorative; no information is conveyed by video alone.
Known limitations
We build and test the site ourselves, so some gaps may remain — for example, a few decorative or archival images may have brief alt text, and some third-party links lead to sites we don't control. We fix issues as we find them. If something doesn't work for you, please tell us.
How it's tested
We test with keyboard-only navigation and with browser accessibility and performance tools (Lighthouse). This is not a substitute for a formal audit, and we welcome feedback from people using assistive technology.
Accessibility of the home
Sedona Pickler is a private four-bedroom home in a rural part of West Sedona, with free, level driveway parking for up to four cars. We have not completed a formal accessibility assessment of the home, so we don't want to overstate its features. If you or someone in your group has specific mobility, vision, or hearing needs — step-free entry, bathroom layout, a ground-floor bedroom, or anything else — please email us before you book and we'll describe the home honestly so you can decide whether it will work for your stay. We'd rather answer a specific question than have a guest arrive to a surprise.
